ABOUT THE CLINIC...
We are excited to offer you the opportunity to attend the Advanced National Softball
Coaches Clinic. As many of you know, we conduct 9 National Softball Coaches Clinics across
the nation in January and February. They offer the finest instruction available to coaches
at all levels and out commitment to those clinics won't change.
Over the years, a growing number of coaches have expressed a desire to learn the
advanced strategies and skills and that's what this clinic is all about - helping you take
your coaching to the next level.
The Advanced National Softball Coaches Clinic has been designed for the coach who
has a strong knowledge of the fundamental skills and strategies. There will be instruction
on specific advanced skills along with a strong emphasis on the strategies and mental
aspects of the game. In an effort to create a setting where coaches and instructors will be
able to exchange and discuss ideas and experiences, we will LIMIT REGISTRATION. I encourage
you to pre-register early.
We have selected a wide variety of topics for you to hear and they will be geared toward
giving you some of the detailed information that has helped these coaches reach the highest
levels of their profession. If you are ready to take your game and your players to the next
level, I encourage you to take this opportunity to learn the finer points of the game from
our extraordinary lineup of speakers.

Clinic Director
THE LINEUP:
CINDY BRISTOW
Cindy is the Director of Development for the International
Softball Federation. She is currently overseeing the development
of the Greek Olympic team for 2004 and travels the world promoting
and developing the sport of softball. Cindy is a former coach of the
Florida Wahoos and Georgia Pride in the Women's Professional
Fastpitch League. She is a member of the NFCA Hall of Fame and
formerly the Director of National Teams for USA Softball, where she
was instrumental in making preparations for the U.S. Olympic team to
compete in the 1996 Olympics.

CARIE DEVER-BOAZ
Carie is the Head Coach at the University of Arkansas and in
the seven years Arkansas has had a softball program she has
guided her team to the NCAA Division I National Tournament
two times. In 1999, she was named SEC Coach of the Year.
During her playing career, Carie was a three-time All-American
and two-time Academic All-American at Fresno State and
finished 2nd at the Women's College World Series three times
during her collegiate career.

DEB HARTWIG
Deb is the owner of Just Softball, which is dedicated to educating and
training softball players and coaches through hands-on instruction. She
has collegiate coaching experience as an assistant at San Diego State
University and Cal-State Fullerton. During her playing career, she was an
All-Conference, All-Region and All-State selection at Saddleback Junior
College before graduating from Cal-State Fullerton. She is also a two-time
ASA All-American and the author of numerous softball instructional videos.

PAM NEWTON
Pam was named Head Coach of the U.S. Junior National Team last
year and guided the team to the gold medal at the Pan Am Junior
Womenıs Championship and a berth in the Junior Womenıs World
Championship this year in China. She has coached elite-level teams
in the ASA JO program for 15 years. As a player, Pam was a World
Champion for the U.S. National Team, an 8-time ASA All-American
and 2-time Women's Major national champion.

MARGIE WRIGHT
Margie is the head coach at Fresno State University and also the winningest
softball coach in NCAA history with 1,064 victories. She has guided her teams
to all 22 NCAA National Tournaments, winning it all in 1998. She is an 8-time
conference coach of the year, 1998 NCAA National Coach of the Year and
1998 USOC Coach of the Year. She guided the U.S. Junior National Team
to the World Championship in 1998 and was an assistant coach for the
1996 U.S. Olympic gold medal team.
